What it is all about

As a Data Scientist within our Innovations team you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Consult our clients about their business needs and issues
  • Use predictive modelling and analytics based techniques to help them understand and utilise their structured and unstructured data for business benefits
  • Based on data analysis results draw up solutions to our clients’ business problems, prepare proposals and present them to clients
  • Work on proof of value to support pre-sales and sales process by demonstrating the added value of big data analytics to our clients
  • Implementing and delivering data science solutions
  • Collaborate with colleagues from other teams on various projects from Data Science perspective
  • Research new technologies and further learning and prepare proposals related to Data Science field

What we need from you

  • University background in IT, statistics, math or science and interest to use your academic knowledge to tackle specific business problems
  • Knowledge of classification, regression and clustering techniques
  • Proven ability to analyse data, visualise them in a meaningful manner and create correct and well-perfroming statistical models
  • Previous experience from kaggle.com data science community is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of R or Python, but candidates with experience with other statistical tools will be also considered
  • Exposure to SQL databases
  • Inquisitive mind passionate about deriving insights from data and able to rigorously analyse complex issues
  • Ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner and turn numbers into stories our clients can understand and respond to
  • Solid communication skills in English and fluent Czech/Slovak
