Job Description

The Strategy & Statistics Area at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business is seeking someone who is capable of teaching a “Machine Learning in R” course for students in its MS in Applied Statistics and Decision-Making program.

The course should be very applied, introducing various machine learning algorithms for prediction using R and using numerous data examples. Course coverage might include Random Forest, Support Vector Machines, Clustering, and Neural Networks, to name a few.

The course runs in Spring term 2019 (January 15 – May 5), and is scheduled for Tuesday evenings, 8pm-10pm, at the Gabelli School’s Lincoln Center Campus (140 West 62nd Street, New York, NY 10023). The campus is conveniently located near 59th Street/Columbus Circle, adjacent to the Lincoln Center Performing Arts complex. The course may be taught in traditional “live” format, in online format, or in hybrid format (combining live and online).

Remuneration depends on qualifications.
