Job Description

This position is for a scientific programmer and data analyst in an ecology lab. The incumbent will be responsible for performing both independent research projects and acting as programming support for other scientists in the research group and must therefore be able to work well in a group setting. Specific duties will include scientific programming, statistical and numerical analysis, code development and debugging, data management and drafting of internal reports and documents. At this time we are especially seeking a person to support a new project looking at the geography of infectious disease “spillover” from animal populations to humans. We are particularly seeking candidates with experience managing geographic data, performing spatial statistics, and generating maps in R.
