Discrete Choice Modeler @ Chicago, Illinois, U.S.

RSG seeks an experienced Discrete Choice Modeler to join our growing Business Insights group in our Chicago, IL, Burlington, VT, or White River Junction, VT offices.

AS A DISCRETE CHOICE MODELER: You apply rigorous analytic methods, purposeful insights and exceptional customers service to help major corporate clients understand their market and competitive positioning related to product development, pricing and product line optimization. You solve challenging technical problems, develop tools for analysis and process efficiency, advance analytical methods and share knowledge in partnership with RSG’s market research and business consultants. Your work contributes to the technical and analytical aspects of research and predictive modeling projects, including the development and implementation of experimental designs, the estimation of statistical models and the development of model application tools and software.
You are a self-motivated team player with practical skills in data manipulation, designing experiments, developing analysis plans, and generating insights. You are a technical and analytical specialist engaged in complex modeling and survey projects. You are resourceful, proactive, innovative, and a clear and creative thinker, interested in using data and analytics to support decision making across a variety of domains. You are amiable and have strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills that enable you to create and communicate complex materials in clear, concise and meaningful ways that non-technical people will understand.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field such as data science, mathematics, statistics, predictive analytics or a similarly relevant field of study
•3+ years of experience and demonstrated skill in data science, or similar field using advanced analytic methods and tools
•Significant experience estimating discrete choice models using software such as: LIMDEP, NLOGIT, Biogeme, R
•Solid understanding of and proficiency with R and SQL
•Efficient manager of workflows and processes with the proven ability to perform multiple competing projects, priorities, and deadlines
•Proficient in statistical analysis, data management and presentation
•Experience employing Hierarchical Bayes methods to estimate models

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Proficiency with Python or similar coding language
•Experience working with Corporate Clients (private-sector)
•Market Research experience
•Data Visualization experience

Periodic travel is required. Position is based in one of these three offices: Chicago, IL, Burlington, VT, or White River Junction, VT. Placement in another RSG office may be considered based on candidate qualifications.
