| R CONSULTANT KEY ROLE OBJECTIVES • Generation of R Script or a set of R Scripts• Design and production of R packages• Implementation of R code to form part of a distributed application (such as a web-application created in Java)JOB DUTIES
• Work with our internal development teams in order to deliver the above services in line with our internal software development guidelines • Generation of R code in accordance with Mango coding standards • Provision of R code design advice both to internal teams and Mango customers |
| MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS• BSc/BA in a computer science, mathematics or engineering subject• Strong background in R• An attention to detail to ensure a high quality of output at all times. Must have strong skills in spoken and written english
• An understanding of database technologies (such as SQL Server, MySql or Oracle) • An understanding of statistical analysis • An appreciation of development practices, such as code design, peer reviews, unit testing and code control • The ability to drive or fly to meetings at client sites, including international travel HIGHLY DESIRABLE • Proficiency in other software development languages (such as Python or .NET) • Proficiency in statistical languages such as SAS, and Matlab PERSONAL • Organised • Enthusiastic • Communicator • Adaptable
