R Developer Fluent in Shiny and ggvis ($100 for ~2 hours gig)

Simit Patel – Posted by simitpatel Anywhere

Job Description

I am a developer who has been working with R on a daily basis for the past year. I’ve reached a problem I’m completely stumped on. I am building an application in shiny that takes a dataframe, allows users to filter the dataframe using inputs, and outputs a scatterplot based on the filtered dataframe. I’ve been able to get the application working in ggplot, but receive a series of errors when I attempt to replace ggplot with ggvis. Specifically, ggvis cannot read the entire dataframe I am trying to put in (it can only process it when I give a sample of that dataframe instead; this is odd as the dataframe is only a few thousand rows and under 20 columns) and is providing an incoherent tooltip when the add_tooltip function is applied. I’m thus seeking an a R developer to debug my code and get me to the point where I can publish my application on using the shiny and ggvis libraries.

For developers fluent in shiny and ggvis, I imagine this problem will be a quick way to make some easy money from the comfort of your own home — while helping a fellow R programmer out. 🙂

I can offer $100 for a successful solution to this application. For those experienced in the shiny and ggvis libraries, I imagine fixing my code shouldn’t take very long at all — hopefully under 2 hours.

How to Apply

Send over some samples of ggvis and shiny applications that you've built.
