Education

I have a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Queensland, Australia. in my PhD I employed Ito calculus and stochastic differential equations to develop optimal control and differential game theoretic models of livestock-pasture systems. I programmed the simulations in either Matlab or Java during this time I also dabbled in C/C++ programming for some projects. I also have a Diplom-Volkswirt degree in Economics specializing in Econometrics from Germany and BA specializing in Economics and Chinese (Mandarin) from Australia.

I am also interested in speech recognition  and machine translation using Python.

My last position was as Visiting Professor in agricultural economics and Agribusiness at International College Beijing, China Agricultural University.

PreviouslyI work as a researcher in Epidemiology at the University of Glasgow developing bio-economic models of disease transmission in R. I have been doing this for three years.
