I am an Economics graduate from University of Wisconsin Madison and currently working as Data Consultant to International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group. With certificate of accomplishment in Data Science Tool Box, R programming, Data Extraction and Cleaning from John Hopkins University I am actively using R for computing aggregate statistics for economic modeling in the current position. I have over 8 years of experience in micro data analysis, particularly of household income and consumption survey, labor force surveys at country level. My undergrad degree in Statistics helps me to do any quantitative analysis. Professional experiences include 6 six years in evaluation of development projects in IFC and 4 years in economic research and modeling. Equally efficient in using Stata. I am an avid learner of data science and willing to work in any new but challenging quantitative and data works.

Develop and manage data platform for doing economic modeling for IFC’s operations in the countries
Gather and present macroeconomic data at country level that includes national accounts, trade, debt, monetary, balance of payment, labor and wage etc.
Write programs in R and/or Stata to analyze micro data e.g. Labor Force Survey, Household Income & Expenditure Survey, Enterprise Survey etc using Stata and R
Analyze micro data and compute necessary statistics, e.g. distribution of wage and employment by education, household consumption share to be fed into macro and sector modeling
Do supply and demand analysis of major economic goods and services in order to feed into CGE modeling
Review and summarize applied research around specific topics, e.g. e.g. productivity, wage-earnings profile etc for selected industries in the countries of interest and provide inputs to the modelers
Perform consistency checks, do statistical and econometric analysis as required
Cleaned and prepared Labor Force Survey (LFS) and Household Income & Consumption Expenditure Survey (HICES) data of Ethiopia for 2004, 2005, 2011 and 2013 for computing aggregate statistics by writing Do Files in Stata.
