Summary

I am passionate about data.

My job consists to analyze huge biological datasets for several researchers. I am skilled for most of the data-science steps: data pre-processing, application of statistical methods, data visualization and results communication.

I also have deep knowledge of bioinformatics since I worked mainly on genomic data. I am used with New Genereation Sequencing (NGS) input and have a special interest for RNA-Seq data analysis.

Now I am starting to look for a new opportunity (for next ~January) to succeed at my successful 4 years experience. I would be happy to live trough an abroad position again!

Education

MSc in engineering. Specialized in genetic, but with a lot of statistics / computer science / programming.

Experience

For four years now I analyze biological datasets for several researchers, mainly concerning wheat. It concerns mostly new generation sequencing (NGS), but not only. My main tasks concerns data analysis and bioinformatics:

** Data analysis
– Application of complex statistical methods
– Development of custom scripts (R / python / bash)
– Data visualization  (++ !)
– Results communication through several conferences & peer-reviewed publications

** Bioinformatics
– Application of NGS pipelines: cleaning / mapping / SNP calling / annotation…
– Gene expression analysis (with RNA-Seq data)
– QTL detection
