I graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry and moved to San Diego looking to work as a Chemist but found myself working in the informatics division. I started work as a QA engineer but quickly got into coding in R, JavaScript and Java against Oracle and Postgres databases. I have worked as a contractor and consultant for 10+ years building open source software, customizing and supporting commercial software, and building custom tools to support drug discovery.
