Summary

Ever since I was a little kid, crunching numbers and making commands on computer has been my passion. I was quite gifted in maths, winning some math competitions in primary school. That was also the time when I learned about CMD commands which then developed in writing scripts and bots in my first programming language, AutoIT. I was mesmerized to see what computers can do and I saw my future somehow connected with computers.
This carried me through college where I studied maths, but I still learned how to use it with programming. I soon found out that in today’s world maths is useless without some solid programming fundamentals. After college I therefore started to solve problems as a data scientist by modeling statistical and machine learning problems. This work can be very challenging and this is exactly what I love. I love to exercise my brains to find solutions to complicated problems in today’s world and at the same time make sure that those theoretical models will hold in practice for very specific problems. For that I need to utilize my skills in mathematics and statistics.
I do most of my work in Python, R or Matlab. Due to the amount of data I am dealing with, I also know how to make commands in SQL.
Regarding the methodologies I use, there are mostly statistical analysis and forecasting, causality detection and machine learning models to either analyze text or forecast numerical data. Methods that I frequently use are Bayesian methods, linear regression, random forest models, multilayer perceptron, also deep learning, as well as stochastic modeling and similar.
