Freelance Big Data in Insurance

Undercurrent – Posted by Undercurrent New York, New York, United States

Job Description

Hello!

QuestionUnderstanding risk is a complex, yet extraordinarily interesting problem – how much data do we need to feel comfortable issuing coverage? We’re Undercurrent, a strategic consultancy working with a mid-sized insurance company in New York City.  Using variables like location, industry code, and previous loss-history is a great start, but we would love some help teasing out relationships between variables and potential extensions into back-end systems. In the next four weeks you could join our team in helping our client solve this problem. Sound interesting? Email me with the address below!

Logistics – We are looking for a four week engagement that could be extended commensurate with project progress. Compensation is competitive and open for discussion and travel is reimbursable.  We would prefer someone who is located in the NYC metro area, but are willing to consider a non-local if they are willing to travel to the city once or twice in the coming weeks.
