Job Description

We are currently seeking an Equity Research Associate to join our analytics group in Minneapolis, MN.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with Analytics Specialist to collect unorganized data from the web to analyze various industries, as well as publicly-traded and private companies
  • Come up with new datasets to pull and new topics to write research on
  • Assist Senior Research Analysts with new idea generation and note creation
  • Create graphics based on datasets pulled
  • Ad hoc analysis and data scraping

Requirements:

  • Desired technical skills include programming fluency in languages used for large-scale analysis of unstructured data including Python, R, Julia, C++, or Java
  • Familiarity with techniques for data collection, data analysis and data visualization
  • Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, or finance preferred
  • 0 – 2 years of work experience
