What We’re Looking For

Required Experience

• 2+ years of quantitative work experience OR graduate degree in a quantitative/scientific field
• SQL experience
• R or Python experience

• Survey Writing
• Statistical Modelling

Description of Role

1. Question everything. How might we make this more usable,  more profitable, faster, more robust? Dream up our options.
2. Figure out what you need to tell us if design A is better than design B. Run an A/B test. Mine the database. Build some models. Field a survey. Get the right data for your question.
3. Find the answer. Do you need to learn a new technique to find it? Go figure that out. Is this an answer we need routinely? Design some reports, preferably automated. Check back soon to make sure they’re still useful. Fix them or kill them. Unnecessary reporting makes your skin crawl.
4. Shout the answer from the rooftops. Not everyone likes looking at the numbers. That’s ok. You’ll make them irresistible with clearer visualizations, patient conversations, and persistent education. Your communication style will be iteratively optimized just as intentionally as the product.
5. Ok, so now we know that A is better than B. But why? Is this generalizable, how much? Could we apply this elsewhere in the product? So many new questions…
