We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, European Tyre Enterprise Limited.

European Tyre Enterprise Limited is the parent company of the Kwik-Fit Group and several other brands in the auto fast-fit and tyre retail sector. The Group also operate the leading UK tyre distribution business, Stapleton’s (Tyre Services) Ltd. The UK Head Office is in Letchworth, with good links into London via the A1(M) or 35minutes by National Rail into London King’s Cross Station. With a combined turnover of nearly £1bn and a shareholder that has invested heavily for long-term growth, there is a great opportunity to deliver significant value within the business and redefine the sector. Their growing team develops data as a corporate asset, driving greater insight in the business. They need a Senior Analyst (Financial Business Modelling), well-versed in R-programming and Excel, to take up an important role within the expanding team.

Package

  • Salary £45k to £55k, depending on skills and experience
  • Bonus Scheme: (10% KPIs and 5% stretch objectives)
  • 1% employer contributory pension scheme (after 3 months service)
  • 20 days annual leave (rising on a continuous service based scale to 30 p.a.)

Experience and Skills

  • Proficiency in R, with experience in modelling, analysis, data visualization and reporting
  • Perform a range of data science functions in Excel
  • Produce analysis that is understandable to non-experts
  • Generate and version control an efficient and readable code base that can be followed by other R users
  • Familiarity with SQL and Oracle databases plus their connections to R

This role is within a new team for the business. The team and role will develop over time and you will grow with it. The work is varied and will take you into all areas of the business from marketing to credit control, from transport and logistics to corporate planning. We are committed to your continued development. There will be plenty of opportunities to learn new programming, commercial and financial skills.

  • Learned several new skill-sets in data analytics and finance
  • Taught team members many topics within R and Excel
  • Translated insights from your code and modelling into stories that created tangible results across several business units
