Data Scientist, Belgrade, Serbia

Nordeus is expanding its team and looking for a Data Scientist. The Data Scientist will be responsible for developing and conducting data-driven research used to generate insights to influence strategy and product improvements. The Data Scientist works with key decision-makers on a daily basis as a data-driven adviser and partner on strategic issues.

Responsibilities:

• Develop actionable insights for product teams based on behavioral data
• Developing thoughtful and well-articulated recommendations to improve our games
• Work with other teams on finding data driven answers to their questions
• Provide reporting and performance monitoring to development teams using data drawn from diverse sources
• Perform detailed data exploration and validation to separate genuine phenomena from spurious anomalies

Required Skills:

• B.S. or B.A. in a highly quantitative field from a top institution (math, CS, engineering, economics) is required, advanced degrees are a plus
• Knowledge of predictive modeling, machine learning, data mining and statistical techniques are required
• Active knowledge of R/Matlab/Python for data analysis
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to work with a cross-functional team to drive results
• Ability to execute research projects, and generate practical results and recommendations
• Results-driven with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects
• Knowledge of SQL query language is a plus
