Job Description

Looking for a senior Data Scientist to join our team at Perion. Our department provides a wide range of services to the various business units in the Company, ranging from SPC monitoring alerts, Lifetime value and churn predictions  to real-time bidding algorithms and recommendation platforms.

All in an automated environment and at scale.

Description of Job:

–          Use of predictive modeling and machine learning algorithms to aid in user profiling.

–          Development of algorithms to run in a real-time environment and at scale.

–          Hands-on implementation of the optimization and recommendation engines to production-level.

Responsibilities

–     Understanding business needs and requirements in order to identify areas of potential optimization.

–     Design, develop and deliver new models/ features and their extension to new markets and products to drive customer acquisition and pipeline performance

–     End to end development of production ready code.

–     Test your solutions on real-time data, iterate and improve based on experiments.

Requirements

–          M.Sc in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field – a must. Ph.D – an advantage

–          Experience with statistics tools such as R/Python – Must

–          Experience in design and development of Recommendation Engines, Mufti-armed bandit algorithms, Operations Research algorithms – advantage.

3-5 years’ experience working in a similar position in an internet company.

–          Experience with big data including Hadoop, MapReduce concepts, streaming algorithms and Spark

–          Strong Analytic abilities, self-learner, thinking out of the box.
