CEITEC MU / BAT – Posted by bat_infspire Brno, South Moravian Region, Czechia

Job Description

We are looking for talented bioinformaticians to join us [bat.infspire.org], at the earliest possible opportunity, at CEITEC MU [ceitec.eu], in Brno, Czechia.

We’re mainly, and currently, focused on the bioinformatic analysis of sequences of antigen receptors of B and T cells, in leukemias and lymphomas, in humans (keep reading) and pets [pathobiologyresearch.com/keller/]. The focus of the advertised position(s) will be our ‘Encyclopedia of CLL Subsets’ [subsets.igcll.org], while we’re collaborating with and coordinating within the EuroClonality-NGS consortium.

Candidates of any level of education and experience are invited to apply – final number of positions filled (but a maximum of two) will depend on candidate profiles. Skills in scripting languages (R, Perl / Python) and very good spoken and written English are essential. Experience in machine learning (esp. clustering) and statistics as well as in biology and medicine (esp. of immunity), and first-author publications, will be considered a plus. The positions, with flexible hours and in an informal working atmosphere, are available now and potentially until the end of 2019 – arrangements are negotiable.

How to Apply

Please apply until the 12th of March 2017 to be fully considered, although the call will remain open until the positions are filled. Send us a short CV including contact details of at least one referee to Dr Nikos Darzentas at [email protected] (or [email protected]) - questions are also welcome. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an informal interview (either on-site or over Skype). Nikos Darzentas, PhD
