Full-Time Data Scientist @ England
We are seeking a PhD level Data Scientist (potentially MSc level) to help us apply cognitive science and statistical analysis in order to design innovative products that consumers, scientists and doctors need.
The role will be responsible for using existing and new data analysis methods to develop better computerised cognitive assessment technologies including computer, mobile and wearable technologies.
The successful candidate will use their existing subject knowledge and data analysis skills to explore existing datasets and contribute to new data collection in order to develop algorithms which can be integrated into products for use in academic and pharmaceutical research and in healthcare settings. We are looking for a candidate with experience of data analysis using tools such as R, SAS, Matlab or Python, a good knowledge and experience of working with large and complex data sets (e.g. time-series analysis, high-dimensional data). We would prefer somebody with an existing knowledge of cognition and/or neuroscience, and an experience of machine learning techniques.
This role is an integral part of a small and growing multidisciplinary team based just outside Cambridge, UK. It requires excellent communication and collaborative working skills, and a willingness to actively engage with stakeholders across the business and with external collaborators and customers. Flexibility and adaptability are important attributes, as is a proactive approach to contributing to our fast-moving pipeline of projects.
This role will primarily be office based, with infrequent national and international travel required.
