TIBCO Spotfire customers include Fortune500 customers from variety of industries, including: Energy, Financial Services, Telco, Retail, Consumer Goods and Manufacturing.

We are looking for Data Scientists to join our rapidly growing TIBCO Data Science team and provide business consulting expertise in the context of customer implementations of TIBCO software. The successful candidates will also engage in methodology development to sharpen our current tool kit. This position will require some travel to customer locations as well as integration and solution development within the TIBCO suite of products. The work can be accomplished from a home office, but candidates who can readily come in to our New York or Boston offices will be given preference.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in data analysis and some involvement in delivering as part of demonstrations, projects, engagements or deployed software applications.
  • The ability to comfortably communicate with senior industry personnel, provide compelling presentations and demonstrations of analytics software, and document the business value of analytics projects.
  • 2+ years of experience with R and some knowledge of SQL. Experience with other software environments e.g. SAS, Matlab, Spotfire, Tableau, Qlikview, SPSS, KNIME and/or other data mining software is a plus. Experience with other software components for data preparation and integration e.g. Composite and/or programming or scripting environments e.g. .Net, Java, Python, Javascript is a plus.
  • A Master’s degree with classes in statistics. Graduate classes in Time Series Analysis,  Longitudinal Methods and/or Data Mining are a plus.
  • Proficiency in the Windows environment; Linux is a plus.
