TIBCO Spotfire is an interactive, visual environment with inbuilt data access, data prep, analytics and geocoding; allowing individuals to rapidly analyze and visualize trends, patterns, outliers and unanticipated relationships in data. TIBCO Spotfire customers include Fortune500 firms from a variety of industries, including: Energy, Financial Services, Telco, Retail, Consumer Goods and Manufacturing.

We are looking for Analysts and Data Scientists to join our growing TIBCO Analytics and Data Science team and provide business consulting expertise in the context of customer implementations of TIBCO software. We are flexible as to the location of this position, but preference will be given to candidates near our offices in NYC, Boston, Chapel Hill, and Atlanta. Successful candidates will also engage in methodology development to sharpen our current tool kit.  This position will require some travel to customer locations as well as integration and solution development within the TIBCO suite of products.

Qualifications:

• Experience in data management / analysis and some involvement delivering analyses as part of demonstrations, projects, engagements or deployed software applications.
• The ability to comfortably communicate with senior industry personnel, provide compelling presentations and demonstrations of analytics software, and document the business value of analytics projects.
• 2+ years of experience with R and solid knowledge of SQL. Experience with other software environments e.g. SAS, Matlab, Spotfire, Tableau, Qlikview, SPSS, KNIME and/or other data mining software is a plus. Experience with other software components for data preparation and integration e.g. .Net, Java, Python, Javascript is a big plus.
• A Master’s degree with some classes in statistics. Classes in Computer Science and/or Data Mining are a plus.
• Proficiency in the Windows environment; Linux is a plus.
