Summary

I am recent graduate at University of California, Irvine, majored in Mathematics with a Concentration in Economics and Quantitative Economics, and minored in Statistics. I have been using Microsoft Word for all of my academic years so I am very familiar with it. In my Econometrics class, I did 80% of my work using Excel to compute the values of capital, output, and interest rate for different periods of time by inputting a function. I also had to graph these values and analyze the results. In addition, I took Math of Finance and Statistical Methods of Finance, which emphasizes on different ways to price options portfolio through selling or buying puts and calls. Also, I have been using a program called R to analyze “real-life” data sets for almost two years now. I worked on a project to determine the factors affecting the depletion of cell counts if an individual develops HIV using this R software. Through these classes, I became aware of my passion for the finance and the analytic world.
