Summary

Water resources engineer with unique blend of engineering, statistics and programming skills with 3+ years experience in climate and weather data analytics. I have experience building statistical models, testing accuracy of prediction models and data visualization. I enjoy analyzing the data to identify patterns and trends.

Education

I have a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from with a major focusing in Data Based Modeling from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA. Most of my course work/projects dealt with processing and analyzing data using R programming software. My deep interest for data analysis and statistics using R programming began as a student has continued through my professional career.

Experience

Currently employed with Philadelphia Water Department as Water Resources Engineer/Data Analyst. My role requires knowledge in statistics and experience with R programming. My responsibilities include analyzing observed rainfall data, performing trend analysis to observe changes in the behavior of rainfall patterns, analyzing extreme events, time series analysis, visualizing data. For example developing Intensity-Duration-Frequency curves for the City of Philadelphia using more than 100 years of data to estimate the frequency of occurrences of large events.
